What did I miss!

Ohh, what did I miss!

Sun Bingo are doing themselves and bingo fans all around the UK so proud, with the absolutely mega huge bingo jackpot of £25,000 up for grabs this Friday night!

Wow, to be honest I can’t even start to imagine how I could spend this much money - I think if I won it (I will deffo be playing this game, along with every other online bingo fan in the UK) I would be in shock for perhaps a few days at least!

So if you haven’t already heard about it then listen up:

All you gotta do is clear your timetable for this Friday night, March 27 (that’s tomorrow), and be prepared for the sizzling bingo action that kicks off in Bingo 90 at 9pm. What’s more, the folks at Sun Bingo say that £25,000 is actually the minimum guaranteed pot for this bingo game, and the jackpot will keep on growing until someone wins it Friday night.

Sun Bingo always do a great bingo game for the end of the month, and this one with the huge £25K jackpot is certainly no exception. This is one HUGE online bingo game you simply cannot afford to miss out on. An I did miss... :(

A joke and free keno!

What do you call a lady addicted to gambling?

Betty!

:)))

I just read it on BingoStreet, where I was looking for bingo promotions. I learned that Bingostreet is branching out into the world of online keno games, as it’s one of those games now freely available online and in the same family as bingo and lotto.

As with online bingo, the game of keno is all about the balls. No balls? No keno! You get to pick your choice of numbers from the board, place your bet and then wait for the balls to pop in. The more balls you predict correctly, the more you win. Simple, and great fun too!

This week the guys at Gone Bingo are the sponsors for Bingo Street's Free Keno tournament, and there’s £155 in cash prizes to spend at Gone Bingo! To enter the competition just register for a keno account and start playing. We have time until midnight GMT this Sunday to get into a Top 10 position to win a prize!

I think it’s a great way to try out a new game for free, and also boost my bingo budget at the same time - a great bargain!

Bingo Online History

Throughout the history of the game, bingo has undergone many transformations. Some of these are to do with the structural way in which the game itself is played, but others are more related to its effect on its players. Over the years, bingo has ranged from a carnival attraction to an educational tool, to a fundraising endeavour to online gambling.

Bingo Halls

Bingo halls filled a hole in people’s lives as more and more cinemas and theatres closed after the introduction of television. They gave people an opportunity to meet socially, to have fun and to enjoy the game. Gradually, as the popularity of bingo grew, bingo halls became more sophisticated. They were run solely for the purpose of bingo games. Old homemade-looking ball machines were replaced with newer Random Number Generators and the modern bingo hall was born.

Since the launching of the Internet, the biggest transition in bingo history has been the move from betting halls to online bingo games.

Bingo Online History

Online bingo today is a multi-million pound industry in the UK. Bingo online isn’t the same as playing bingo in a crowded, atmospheric bingo hall, but online bingo sites create a similar sense of community and atmosphere in a number of ways. The most basic of these is the chat function. This allows bingo players to interact socially, as they would have done in a bingo hall.

Bingo online has lots of advantages. Although many still enjoy the bingo hall experience, online bingo gambling is a more convenient form of the game. Whenever and wherever you want to play bingo, you now can! You can also choose the type of bingo game you want to play and personalise your experience.

Bingo online mania first took hold in the United States. Recently, however, the UK has overtaken the US, and presently boasts the fastest growing online bingo market in the world.

Censorship against online gamblers by banks

The Irish Times have reported a form of censorship against online gamblers by banks, who are apparently rejecting mortgage applications if statements show signs of gambling - which includes those of us who like to enjoy the odd fun evening with our bingo buddies playing a few games of online bingo.

Read the full article here in our online bingo news section.

What exactly does this mean for Irish online bingo players, is this a serious threat and something to be worried about?

No Irish bank has yet admitted that this is a full-blown policy, however it does appear to be becoming the rule of thumb according to the IMAF (see bingo news article). Tell-tale signs on your monthly bank statement that lead to an internet bingo site could mean that you might not be able to buy a home - at least with that bank.

In any mortgage application, banks need to determine the applicant’s ability to repay the loan. But why should they be concerned if you enjoy a few games of bingo every now and again. Why has online gambling become such a weighted factor in this process?

With 98% of the gambling population able to gamble responsibly, this surely indicates a responsible approach to life in general too, including the ability to repay debt, ie., bank loans and mortgages.

So if I lived in Ireland and played internet bingo regularly and was thinking of buying a house, I might be worried. On the other hand, how stupid would your bank be to deny you a mortgage just because of your online bingo hobby?!!!

Seriously, I don’t think it’s anything to panic about. To put it into perspective,

This does seem to be a bit OTT, even for Irish banks, but if I lived in Ireland and played internet bingo regularly AND wanted to buy a house I might be worried, but I seriously don’t think this is anything to panic about. So keep playing bingo games online and stuff the banks!

Penny Bingo

Alongside free bingo games, penny bingo games are becoming very popular among online bingo UK fans, and almost every bingo site in town has at least one of these ’so cheap it’s almost free bingo games’ bubbling away on the pot.

There’s something delightful about playing a game of online bingo and spending a penny - ahem, not that kind of penny, you know what I mean!

But seriously, how much better can it get than penny bingo? I can easily afford penny bingo games, they don’t bring a huge deficit to my online bingo budget, and I can play bingo online merrily for hours on end at a time.
